3. AI-Powered Features
🔒 Important: How AI Works in TailBuddy
TailBuddy uses Google's Gemini AI (gemini-2.0-flash) to power features like AI Vet Chat, Diet Plan Generator, and Pet Name Generator. When you use these features, your queries and any uploaded pet images are processed by Google's AI systems subject to Google's privacy policy.
What data AI features access:
We do not use your personal pet data to train AI models. Conversation data sent to Gemini is governed by Google's API terms and is not retained by TailBuddy beyond your session.
4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We never sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
We may share your information only in these limited circumstances:
Service Providers
Trusted third-party vendors (AWS hosting, MongoDB Atlas database, Google Gemini AI, RevenueCat payments) who help us operate TailBuddy under strict data processing agreements.
Legal Requirements

Users between 13–18 should use TailBuddy only with parental consent.
